Dr Arthur Bird The 29th International Congress of the International Society of Blood Transfusion was held in Cape Town at the CTICC between the 2nd and 7th September 2006. This was the first time the congress has been held on the African continent and was a huge success.
The conference was unparalleled in attendance of both delegates and trade participants. The number of abstracts received 850 - was also an all time record.
