December 2006 Life Blood

“It is my privilege to write the introduction to the last Life Blood newsletter of the year. In this edition we deal with changes in the blood banks with the introduction of automated systems which hopefully will enhance efficiency and safety; an outline of our plasma product profile; the role the service plays with respect to the management of haemochromatosis and which patients can be accepted as donors; and finally some feedback from the recent international congress we hosted in September, and our AGM.

Please enjoy the festive season and the staff of WPBTS wish you all the best for the duration.  Unfortunately during this period blood donations are at a premium, so do please use our products sparingly.

With many thanks for your support and co-operation during 2006.”
